Huawei WATCH GT 2E Comes with Sporty Makeover
Huawei WATCH GT 2e is launched right after launching of Watch GT 2 with just six months gap. While the latest smartwatch looks sportier compared to the predecessor, the question is if this Huawei smartwatch is superior. The latest smartwatch comprises of various colors: Mint Green, White, Lava Red, and Graphite Black.
Huawei WATCH GT 2e comes in a sportier look compared to its classic version. The dials which use to be round having now been worked on and made buttons slimmer along with streamlined bracelet look. The case made with stainless steel that encloses a flat crown while the bracelet ensures it is skin-friendly rubber fluoro, soft, and TPU two-tone material that matches the design.
Huawei WATCH GT 2e ensures that you don't need to worry about the sweat-resistant and breathable. It is extremely comfortable to use and wear even when you are performing the extreme workout. The Huawei smartwatch is 5 ATM water-resistant which means there will be no damage to the device. While it is noted to be much heavier compared to other light weighted sports watches. It weighs without strap about 43 grams and certainly one can feel after swinging your arms while running.
The Huawei WATCH GT 2e has a display of 1.39 inches with an OLED bright and sharp look that offers you a pretty good resolution. Even when the sunlight is bright, yet reading becomes easier. One of the concerns that every sport watch user might have is the screen brightness as while performing activities in the sun it gets difficult to see the dial but the issue is no longer with this latest upgraded Huawei WATCH GT 2e. In fact, there is an app for Huawei Health that allows its users to download a variety of designs to update on the dial and also you can add the customization.
Huawei Health and OS Lite
Lite is still considered to be preferred OS for Huawei smartwatch, hence if you are looking to wear a true OS experience then you might feel disappointed. Huawei Health is good enough to manage everything that you need for this smartwatch. Though, while setting up the smartwatch with the latest launched OnePlus 8 there was some interesting problem of HMS reverse.
The app of Huawei Health is a success when it comes to tracking fitness tool. Also, there are fifteen modes for the workout that are professional such as triathlons, cycling, pool swimming and so on. While during the stage of lockdown, going out is difficult I got permitted to have a short run to check this new device. After testing the device, it shows the GPS to remain accurate even while I was running frequently the routes were getting tracked amazingly.
The smartwatch when it comes to performance is great as it still has a chipset of Kirin A1. However, the performance has been doubled thanks to the RAM which use to be 2 GB and now it has upgraded towards 4 GB. Resulting, the performance became snappy and it has become even more fun to navigate between the menus and apps on these 1.39 inches tiny screen display. The latest version will let you replace other apps such as Fitbit, this will allow you to know your steps count along with telling you about the sleep.
Huawei plays the role of a doctor that comes really handy as they added a sensor called SpO2 which is usually used by the hospitals that allow them to monitor the level of your blood oxygen. This can be considered as a very useful feature in your smartwatch as it will indicate if the blood oxygen is low and someone with a condition of medical. Also, if you want to go on a high altitude for hiking then this sensor can be really useful.
The Huawei WATCH GT 2e comes with a similar battery which was integrated with the previous version of Huawei WATCH GT 2, which means if you have earlier used the Huawei WATCH GT 2 then you don't need to worry about the battery life of the Huawei WATCH GT 2e. It has a similar 455 mAh battery that delivers battery life for 14 days.
For instance, while tracking GPS will take down the battery really quickly but if you use the main functionality of a smartwatch and sports tracker then you can last the battery for two weeks. While testing, we realized that we could use the smartwatch without charging for about nine to ten days but I would admit the fact that I have been pushing the device a little more than I would use in daily life for sake of this review.
Huawei WATCH GT 2e proves that Huawei has been successfully delivered the smartwatch which was expected by its loyal users and also it is good enough to compete in the market full of smartwatches for sports. If you ask about which one to prefer while choosing WATCH GT 2e or WATCH GT 2 then I would recommend going for the latest version if you want to get a sporty look along with more RAM size.
While the app which accompanies the smartwatch proven to be a rich feature assistant for this device especially for Honor or Huawei brand smartphones. While there are certain complications between the Gallery App and HMS Core, the setup of the Huawei WATCH GT 2e is much simpler for those users who have just started using a fully-fledged device like this.
If you want to have a smartwatch for sports that allows you to track all the activities accurately and it is light and slim in weight then I would recommend buying Amazfit but if you want good battery life, good app, competitive price, and loads of tracks for sports then this device should be your choice.
